Terms of Use.

The agreement between you and Enki Labs UK Ltd. If you subscribe to Enki Plus, sections 6 and 7 are the ones that matter - the price, the free trial, and how to cancel.

Last updated: .

1. Who you are contracting with

Enki Labs UK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17365113, registered office 58 Southover, Wells, England, BA5 1UH. Contact: [email protected]. In these terms "we" and "us" mean Enki Labs UK Ltd, and "you" means the person using Enki.

2. You must be 18 or over

This service is for adults only. By using it you confirm you are 18 or over. We may withdraw access if we believe you are under 18.

3. What Enki is - and is not

Enki is an AI companion you talk with and "grow" over time. It is not a real person, and it is not a therapist, doctor, lawyer, or crisis service. Do not rely on it for professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis, contact Samaritans on 116 123 or your local emergency services.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Enki to create or seek illegal content, content that sexualises or endangers a child, self-harm methods, weapons or violence instructions, or hateful content. These limits are absolute. This is a non-explicit companion; sexual content is not provided here.

5. Your data

What you tell Enki is stored so your companion can remember and grow with you. Your data is yours - you can export or delete it at any time from within the app. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Enki Plus - price, free trial, and cancelling

Enki is free to use with a daily message limit. Enki Plus is an optional paid subscription that removes that limit.

  • Price. The price you will pay is shown to you before you subscribe, and that is the price you pay. Enki Plus is £7.99 per month for the first 500 subscribers, and that price is held for as long as your subscription runs without interruption. After the first 500 places are taken, the price for new subscribers is £14.99 per month. Enki Labs UK Ltd is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added - the price shown is the total you pay.
  • Free trial. Your subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. We ask for card details when you start the trial, but nothing is charged during it.
  • What happens at the end of the trial. Unless you cancel first, your subscription starts automatically at the end of the 7 days and your card is charged. We will email you before that happens, telling you the date and the amount.
  • Renewal. The subscription then renews monthly and is charged to the same card until you cancel.
  • How to cancel. Any time, from Manage subscription inside the app, or from the link in our reminder email. It takes about a minute and you do not need to contact us.
  • Cancelling during the trial means you are never charged. Cancelling later stops the next payment and you keep Enki Plus until the end of the month you have already paid for.
  • Your Enki is not held hostage. If you cancel, your companion and everything it remembers stay yours on the free plan, and you can still export or delete them.
  • Price changes. We will not change the price of an existing subscription without telling you by email first and giving you the chance to cancel.

7. Refunds and your legal cancellation rights

You have a legal right to cancel a purchase made online within 14 days. Because Enki Plus begins with a free trial, you can also avoid being charged entirely by cancelling before the trial ends.

In addition to your legal rights: if you are charged and change your mind, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of that payment and we will refund it in full. We would rather refund you than keep money you did not mean to spend.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Enki. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the right to bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.

10. Changes & contact

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you - the price, or what you get - we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Questions: [email protected].
